— MEET THE DOCTOR
A Puerto Rican gone Texan..
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Dr. Humberto came to Texas with one goal: to find a better way to get people out of pain for good. That search led him to D.N.F.T.® — and to becoming one of only three certified practitioners in Texas.

— DR. HUMBERTO'S STORY
Growing up in Puerto Rico, Humberto was drawn to healing early. After graduating high school in 2011, he earned his Associate Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao — graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2013. During his internships, he worked with the physical therapy department at the VA Hospital, gaining hands-on experience in patient rehabilitation.
"Working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, I kept seeing patients get temporary relief — and then come back with the same problem. I knew there had to be a better way."
That restlessness led him to shadow Dr. Armando Alvarez and explore chiropractic schools across the country. In March 2015, he made the move to Texas. In May 2016, he began his studies at Parker University in Dallas.

— THE TURNING POINT
During his second year at Parker University, Dr. Humberto attended a D.N.F.T.® demonstration at Ferrell Chiropractic Clinic. The precision, the gentleness, the logic of it — it aligned with everything he believed chiropractic should be. He was immediately captivated.
Then came the moment that made it personal. His mother was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. After six months of traditional treatments with little improvement, she visited Dr. Hank Ferrell in Texas. After just a few D.N.F.T.® adjustments and targeted supplementation, she regained full range of motion in her shoulder.
"Watching my mother get her shoulder back after six months of nothing working — that was the moment I knew. This was the missing piece."
He dedicated the rest of his education to mastering the technique. Today he is one of only 3 certified D.N.F.T.® practitioners in the state of Texas.
— HOW WE PRACTICE
These aren't just words on a wall. They shape how Dr. Humberto approaches every patient, every treatment, every conversation.
Honest conversations about realistic health goals, fair pricing, and the best treatment options — even when the truth is that we might not be the right fit. Patients deserve to know what to expect before they commit.
Healing is a partnership. Dr. Humberto brings his best to every session. In return, patients are encouraged to stay engaged with their care plan, do their rehab, and trust the process — even when progress feels slow.
Every patient deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and individualized care. This is not a conveyor belt practice. Dr. Humberto takes time to listen, explain, and adapt — every single visit.
True wellness goes beyond the adjustment. By addressing the root cause through D.N.F.T.®, laser therapy, rehab, and nutrition, we help patients achieve long-term health — not just temporary relief that wears off between visits.
— OUR MISSION
We believe our purpose is to serve others by helping them achieve optimal health and well-being. Every patient we meet is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a lasting impact.
Through gentle, low-force chiropractic care, we help patients reduce pain, relieve stress, and restore balance — so they can fully enjoy life's daily activities without depending on care to feel good.
— OUR VISION
"To educate, empower, and serve our community by helping individuals achieve optimal physical, mental, and spiritual well-being — naturally."
— WHY D.N.F.T.®
"D.N.F.T.® aligns perfectly with holistic healing — it connects with the body's natural intelligence, providing safe and effective care for all ages without unnecessary force."
— OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Humberto is still very much a person first. He loves working out, running, cooking, and the occasional Netflix binge. And of course — Puerto Rico.
He visits the island as often as he can, especially during the holidays, to spend time with family, relax at the beach, and eat food that no Texas restaurant has yet figured out how to replicate. If you're planning a trip to Puerto Rico, feel free to ask him for recommendations — he has lots of hidden gems he can share with you!
