A Puerto Rican gone Texan; born & raised in Puerto Rico then pursued my Doctorate in Texas.

After graduating from high school in 2011, he decided to pursue an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013 from the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao. For his internships, he had the opportunity to be part of the physical therapy department of the Veteran Affairs Hospital.

While working as a Physical therapist assistant he developed an interest in spine health, nutrition and supplementation. He spent a couple of months talking and shadowing Dr. Armando Alvarez, while learning about chiropractic and what schools he should consider. In March 2015, Dr. Figueroa moved to the great state of Texas to start a doctorate in chiropractic with Parker University in May 2016.

In his second year of chiropractic school at Parker University, I was introduced to what would change his perspective on how to approach the human body. I was invited to a Directional Non-Force Technique (D.N.F.T.®) demo at Ferrell Chiropractic Clinic.

A couple of months later, his mom was diagnosed with a frozen shoulder. After six months of different treatments her range of motion was still diminished. She decided to visit Dr. Ferrell in Texas. After a couple of D.N.F.T.® chiropractic adjustments and supplementation of specific vitamins, she recovered the complete range of motion of her affected shoulder.

After that moment, he decided that learning D.N.F.T.® is the piece of the puzzle he was missing. Dr. Figueroa is passionate about offering the best treatment possible, and he is convinced that D.N.F.T.® provides better opportunities for recovery to a patient. In August 2019, he graduated from Parker University with a Doctorate in Chiropractic, a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness, and a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy.

Dr. Figueroa is bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish and English. Dr. Figueroa enjoys working out, running, cooking, and the occasional Netflix binge. He loves visiting his home in Puerto Rico, especially during Christmas time. He enjoys his time with the family, the beach and eating. You are welcome to ask him what places you should visit on your next trip to Puerto Rico.

I believe my gift is to serve others and I find joy helping people reach optimum health. I find motivation learning and gaining more experience from each case I’m able to help. With chiropractic I can help my patients, reducing pain and stress which can interfere with most daily activities.

I love D.N.F.T.® because it is all I dream of when it comes to achieving optimum health. D.N.F.T.® being a low force method of chiropractic allows me to treat individuals from all ages seeking a better quality of life. Also, its specific analysis and adjustment allows it to correctly remove nerve interference from the specific area.

To reach every individual in the community, to educate and help them reach optimum physical, mental, and spiritual health.
